Okay, wow. I knew this one was going to be hard, but I had no idea just how hard. I spent a ridiculous amount of time just staring at the Oracle and Link's Awakening world maps, studying how various types of walls interact with each other. Building the boulder area leading to the upper trail required a ridiculous amount of thought. The smoke ring around the mountain required some severe editing using the into sequences and title screens to both Oracle games.
And it was so worth it. With the level of intricacy and detail that had to go into it, this is one of my favorite maps I've ever done.
That's not to say it's without flaws. Thanks to the odd shape of the area, I had to sprite the entrance to Goron City as a separate area. The idea to create a completely separate map with it came later. And the entire thing came out 160 pixels wider than I wanted because I wasn't able to sprite Biggoron and had to make a space for the Oracle of Seasons version.
